Lot of Swim Team Stuff

January 27, 2019

Hello Team!

There's been a lot of activity this week and a lot of announcements.  Here's a condensed version:

GREAT Swim Meet in Annapolis last Sunday. According to the preliminary results, we won all three divisions: Women's, Men's, and Combined Team Scores. So until the 'goofy' scoring comes out, bask in the win! Good job swimming and jumping in for the relays!

Many THANK YOU's to the timers from our team: Carolyn Foster, Betsey & Curt Snow, thanks so much for attending the meet and helping time! Thanks also to Sue Marinzel, Nancy and Diane for all their coaching efforts!

NEW SWIMMERS:

Welcome to the team new swimmers this month:

Elaine Bixby (44) from Severna Park will mostly be practicing the 5:30 a.m. group. ( I hate to admit it but I have yet to meet her :( More later!)

Kateri Krus (49) from Annapolis will also be practicing at 5:30. She's a triathlete and a rower. (She's done a few Iron Man distance Tri's.)

Ryan Delany (46) from Croften will be joining the 5:30 group as well. Ryan is a teacher and also swam in college. He says he's out of shape but knocked off a 56+ 100 FR at the meet in Annapolis. ;)

Mark Martin (55) is back! He's a seasonal swimmer from Severna Park who only needs a few month every year to get in shape for the Bay Swim! Right?? ;)

FEB 9: Y National informational meeting at 2:00 pm in room M-1 at SPCC. There has been a detailed email that went out recently. If you did not receive it and would like info on our "GOAL MEET",  please respond to this email and we'll send you the info.

FEB 9: We are hosting Mini-Series #5. Warm-up is 3, meet starts at 3:45. Sign up for the meet from our website: https://wwwmarylandmastersspcc.com/

Or go to Club Assistant directly at: https://www.clubassistant.com/club/meet_information.cfm?c=1029&smid=11083

We are looking forward to a large turnout from out team at our home meet. If you haven't yet been to a meet, this is a good one to get you started. We can also field lots of relays! Directly after the meet we are having a social at Holy Grounds!

That's enough for now!  I'll see you at the pool!
