I have finally completed the paperwork for the 1-Hour ePostal. You should have received an email notification from USMS that your entry was received. It includes the “official” distance you swam. This is the actual distance rounded down to the nearest 5 yards, their rules.
Everyone swam well.
The results are as follows:
Carlson, Courtney 3867 yds
Collings, John 1529
Collins, Maryann 3544
Dougher, Paula 3175
Fligsten, Ken 1738
Irminger, Doug 3113
Jamieson, Sarah 3646
McKay, Gladney 3961
San Felice, Selene 3400
Stevens, Chris 4227
Taylor, Susan 3600
Travers, Allison 3183
Wangdahl, Glenn 2959
Courtney Carlson, Sara Jamieson, and Selene San Felice swam the event for the first time and, of course, set personal bests.
Maryann Collins and Doug Irminger set new personal bests.
John Collings and Selene San Filice set new team records in their age groups.
Coach Gladney, Chris Stevens, and Glenn Wangdahl broke existing team records.
Doug Irminger broke his own team record.
Coach Gladney and Chris Stevens now hold two team records each.
That works out to be 6 new team records and five personal bests for 13 participants. Not bad!
Well done by all. I hope the challenge will bring you all back next year. Bring some teammates.
A big thank you to Paula Dougher for helping me get organized and keep the paperwork in order.
